* All CAT flexplates are certified by SFI and met SFI 18.1 spcification. Make sure the flexplate has a SFI sticker, CAT logo, and part number.

* Verify the SFI serial number engraved on plate is identical as SFI sticker's. If not, return to dealer.

* Verify the bolt pattern on flexplate is matched with Converter.

* Punched out the date on SFI sticker and placed it on plate while the flexplate has installed.

* Call CAT for a Recertified SFI sticker if the existing one is expired.

* Flexplate is precisely dynamic balanced in factory. Don't ever remove or alter the weight piece. It will void the Warranty.

* Check the run out on outer skirt of ring gear is under 0.025".

* Check the maximum deflection on plate is under 0.025".

* Install the flexplate with proper bolt troque as OEM specification.

* Make sure to have a 0.10"-0.20" gap between gear ring and starter pinion.

* Hand crank engine to ensure no wobble on ring gear and clear from housing.
