* Remove negative cable from battery.

* Always relace with new flexplate or flywheel for extend usage life of starter.

* Remove fitting from package and install starter with new bolt and washer. Torque bolts at 35 ft-lbs torque.

* Check and make sure a 0.01-0.03" back lash is obtained between gear ring and starter pinion. If necessary move starter for proper back lash.

* Eensure to keep 0.1-0.2" gap between ring gear and starter pinion.Use necessary shims on starter mount for proper gap.

* Connect battery starter cable to "B" terminal and connect ignition switch wire to "S" terminal.

* Connect battery negative cable.

* Click starter a few times to ensure no abnormal sound come from starter.

* Make sure starter engage and disengage properly.

* Make sure no heavy teeth contact sign on gear ring and starter pinion.
