* Soak rockers system in kerosene to disolve all preserve. Blow all oil pasasges on shafts, rockers, push rod seat screw and inner bore of seat screw thread with dry air to make sure no obstruction of oil flow. Then immerse rockers in engine oil for 30 minutes to ensure oil penetrates to bearings and roller shafts. * Assembly rockers on shafts. Adjust side clearance within 0.02-0.10" range by grind off locking plate edge. or adding shims in between rockers. * Tight shafts on block with proper torque. Make sure the oil holes on shafts are facing down. * Tight push rod seat screw down to touch with push rod. * Adjustment of valve lash: For intake valve of hydraulic & mechnical Lifters: Crank engine until exhaust push rod begins to open valve. Tight push
rod seat screw down until feel a slight resistance at push rod by your
finger tips spinning. Continue tight seat screw half of a turn more
for ideal pre-load. * The stainless steel rocker arm system has no bearing. Adequate lubricant supply to the system is very important. The oil passage is through push rod, seat screw, rocker and shaft. Make sure the oil hole on rocker is within the oil grove on push rod seat screw. When make valve lash adjustment, make sure the seat screw cup edge must even or not extend over 0.10" from the rocker arm surface. Otherwise, the rocker system will overheat by poor lubricating. If need use correct length of push rod for proper lubricating. * Make sure a proper clearacne on: 0.030" between rocker and spring retainer. 0.060" between reatiner and valve seal. * Tighted secure nut on push rod seat screw. * Spray adequate lube on valve train system for engine break-in. * Hand crank engine to ensure all rockers run freely and make sure lube system work in good condition. * Make sure the roller tips are properly sat on the center of valve top. * Start the engine at low speed and make sure no knocking sound from cylinder head. And make sure shafts are not overheat.
