* Soak rockers in kerosene to disolve all preserve. Blow all oil pasasges with dry air. Then immerse rockers in engine oil for 30 minutes to ensure oil penetrates to bearings and roller shafts. .

* Replace any worn rocker studs, pedestals, and guide plates.

* Make sure replace all push rods with right length in response to rocker ratio.

* Apply lube on pivot ball and rocker arch. Place pivot ball with flat side up. Slight tight self-lock nut on rocker studs.

* Adjustment of valve lash.

For intake valve of hydraulic & mechnical Lifters:

Crank engine until exhaust push rod begins to open valve. Tight self-lock nut at intake rocker until feel a slight resistance on the push rod from your finger tip spinning. Continue tight nut half of a turn more for an ideal pre-load.

For exhaust valve:same procedure as intake valve.

Repeat above procedure for every cylinder.

* Make sure a proper clearacne on:

0.030" between rocker and spring retainer.

0.060" between reatiner and valve seal.

* Tighten slef-lock nut against rocker stud.

* Spray adequate lube on valve train system for engine break-in.

* Hand crank engine to ensure all rockers run freely

* Make sure the roller tips are properly sat on the center of valve top.

* Start the engine at low speed and make sure no knocking sound from cylinder head.
