* Make sure the retainer is right for the springs. A minimum 0.06" clearance should be given between inner and outer springs. * Make sure has a minimum 0.03" clearance between retainer and rocker arm arch. * Make sure the distance from bottom of retainer to the top of valve seal is greater than the lift distance of valve operation. If not, it will cause cam failure. * Make sure the valve lock angle is correct and response to the angle of retainer. * Ensure a small gap in 0.002-0.010" range between two halves of valve lock. * Upon completion, hand crank engine to ensure all valve are move up and down freely and not touch to retainer.
